Today is our first blog post ever. That is a pretty HUGE milestone and new beginning. However, not YUGEE enough...
Photography to me never was a business until two years after behind the camera, TWO YEARS. My story can be found on my Instagram post from this past New Years (Link: https://www.instagram.com/p/_-xMeTTbax/) Wednesday night, I hit a new milestone in my photography career.
So here is the YUGEEE 'stuff'.
I was hired to run the photo/video crew at my first REAL wedding! I have been hired to work at smaller weddings, assist, and second shoot but never ran a whole team on my own.
For the past 8 months since I began shooting events, I have shot several Bar Mitzvah's, Engagement Parties, Corporate Events, Birthday Parties, etc. When I first began events always put pressure on me, and I always felt nervous when shooting, but after time it wears off and becomes norm.
I never would have been able to imagine myself shooting a wedding less than 6 months ago, I always got nervous for a Bar Mitzvah, now a Wedding - woahhh! I have really grown, I have really succeeded, I have really learnt a lot!! I give myself a pat on the back
The first time I met the bride and groom together, was by their Engagement Party during March in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Instantly, I was able to tell that this adorable couple was going to be a whole journey of excitement and fun, for both myself and them! The true moment of realization that they are going to be the best couple ever to photograph was when we took the portraits, they were willing to go the extra mile and take them in the middle of the busy E 18 Street in the cold.
The shooting for the wedding began at 3:30 P.M, in the 91 degree heat by the Dyker Beach Golf Club Venue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY. The bride and groom were both super 'chilled' and were awesome tot shoot with from start to end.
Portraits were taken all over the beautiful outdoor compounds of the Golf Club.
The Chuppah was perfectly setup outdoors, it looked stunning.
Then the dancing and main course were held in the main hall.
The dancing was filled with joy, energy, love and happiness from everyone present at the wedding.
I would like to thank the Bride & Groom, Ari & Keren, for allowing me to capture their big day. Also a HUGE Mazal Tov on their wedding, may this be a new beginning of only happiness!
